Summary Drives gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles to transport and deliver products, materials, tools and final fabrication by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Receives instructions and/or documents from dispatcher. Prepares receipts if necessary.
Drives truck to destination.
Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck
condition. Maintains proper onboard equipment and safety devices.
Loads/unloads or assists workers in loading and unloading truck, including manual or
mechanically assisted load placement.
Positions dunnage and secures loads with straps, chains or other tie-down methods.
Tarps load as required.
Performs minor repairs including light bulb replacement.
Maintains proper levels of fuel and operating fluids and frequently inspects to assure safe and efficient operation.
Organize and maintain warehouse inventory
Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Inside and outside conditions but not required to remain out in extreme weather. Protected by cab during drive time. Average ambient temperatures between 0- and 110-degrees F. Regularly exposed to sunlight, dust and dirt. No personal protective equipment required under normal conditions. When on job site, job site PPE is required.

Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum two plus years experience in commercial driving.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Driver’s license required. No DUI on record. CDL-A or B preferred, but not mandatory. Must pass requirements for medical card/safe driver.
Other Skills and Abilities Forklift and Tow Motor Operation.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
Requires moderate exertion to climb in and out of vehicles, manipulate load or dunnage and place tarps.
Requires ability to sit, stand, walk, squat, bend at waist, kneel, reach over head, use hand tools and strapping equipment regularly.
Requires ability to lift and carry loads safely without risk of injury:
Maximum unassisted lift: 70 lbs
Sustained lift and carry of material or equipment of 50 lbs.
Range of lift over head of 30 lbs.
