Miami University’s new geothermal plant was completed February 2015. The $9 million project provides hot and cold water to three new dorms and a new dining hall on western campus through 72 miles of underground piping saving the university an estimated $1.5 million a year in total energy cost. The Thomas J. Dyer Company installed the HVAC/Plumbing systems and helped plan and spec out the project.
