History
The Thomas J. Dyer Company began in 1908 as a commercial plumbing company. To date, T. J. Dyer holds a strong reputation as a leading mechanical contractor in the Cincinnati region namely for mechanical installations of large plan and spec projects. The company has been awarded with, or asked to participate in, several prominent projects from The Freedom Center and The Great American Ball Park to the Newport Aquarium and both area Children's Hospitals.
Major growth took off in the 1950s, when the company, presented with an opportunity to support a customer's HVAC system installation, expanded its team and capabilities. To maintain T.J. Dyer's focus on exceptional customer service, in 1997 the family established Grote Enterprises as the management services provider for all of the Grote Companies. Grote Enterprises provides safety, engineering, business development, accounting, administrative, and strategic planning services to T.J. Dyer. The year 2000 marked another important expansion for Dyer and Grote with the development of Dyer Service. The division upholds customer satisfaction, specializing in warranty and ongoing maintenance service upon Dyer's completion of new or renovated facilities.
With the addition of Dyer Solutions, a new special projects and services organization for small to medium size new construction projects and remodels, and Dyer Fabrication Technologies, the company is now equipped to handle the full lifespan of projects and will continue to adapt for the industry's complex technology challenges coming in the next 100 years.
